PSVita "DTPE" units are pre-alpha development unit from 2009 which is considered to be the first Playstation Vita Development Kit.
It was used with DECR-1000 PS3 Reference Tool to develop software.
Made in Japan.
Naming
The model name "DTPE" is based on the model name "DTP" which was for PSP devkit/testkit.
"DTPE" most probably corresponds to: Development / Debug Tool for Portable E(?)
Serials
Serial number for DTPE does exist, however, it is just three digits.
